INSTRUCTIONS TO APPRENTICE APPLICANTS

APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH BETWEEN 12:00pm and 6:00pm
Application Information
AN INDIVIDUAL MAY BECOME AN ELIGIBLE APPLICANT BYE THE FOLLOWING MEANS:

1. A pool of eligible applicants shall be established consisting of individuals who qualify and complete the interview
process.

To qualify for oral interview an applicant must have a minimum of 4,000 hours of substantiated electrical
construction work experience or have met the following basic requirements.

  1. Be a minimum of 17 years of age -- applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age at time of selection and
    indenture.
  2. Be a high school graduate, or have a GED, or, in lieu of a high school diploma or GED, have a two-year
    Associate Degree or higher.
  3. Show evidence of successful completion of: one full credit of high school algebra with a passing grade, or one
    post high school algebra course (e.g. Adult Education, Continuing Education, Community College, ect.) with a
    passing grade.
  4. Pay a $25.00 application fee. (NON-REFUNDABLE/NO PERSONAL CHECKS)
  5. Complete an application (You have 30 days from application to turn in all necessary documentation)
  6. Qualify for interview, by obtaining a score of "4" or higher, using the electrical trade's aptitude test developed
    and validated by the American Institutes for Research.
  7. Posses a valid Drivers License.

2. APPLICANTS SHALL SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO THE COMMITTEE ALONG WITH THEIR
APPLICATIONS:

  1. Birth certificate or reliable information of date of birth.
  2. A high school transcript, or Certificate of Equivalence with copy of test scores and a partial high school
    transcript, if applicable, showing all courses completed.  Any other transcripts of additional education.
  3. Submit a DD-214 to verify military training and show release of active duty.
