and video work in commercial office buildings and complexes, as well as industrial facilities, including:
Program Details
3-year Systematic Program of Learning
After completing our 3-year program, you'll be equipped to work with all kinds of
low-voltage systems, including fiber optic networks, fire and life safety systems, security
installations, and VDV technologies.
Telecommunications Installer/Technician
4,800 Hours of On-the-Job Training
480 Hours of Related Study (minimum)
Apprentices can obtain all essential knowledge and skills necessary to become a
Telecommunications Installer/Technician.
Apprentices train to proficiency on all of the skills required to install, maintain and
troubleshoot various systems associated with voice, data and video.
Apprentices will study theories relating to all job tasks important to the trade.  Classroom
time helps to reinforce skills learned while doing on-the-job training.
